How We Create Change

Hikmat Palestine supports Palestinian NGOs and local organizations by adapting proven, effective programs to the local context. From school-led innovation projects to art and culture initiatives, every effort is co-created with our partners to address real community needs. Our role is to back what works, accelerate delivery, and ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and built to last.

Our Model

Our Story

Born from Maher Kaddoura’s legacy with Aljude in Jordan, Hikmat Palestine honors Hikmat Maher Kaddoura by turning The Falafel Theory into action — doing more with less, for more. We support Palestinian NGOs and local partners to turn simple ideas into transformative change.

Mission

We partner with trusted Palestinian NGOs and community organizations to support grassroots ideas with tools, funding, and mentorship — building resilience that lasts beyond outside aid.

Vision

A resilient, self-driven Palestine where communities shape their own future through innovation and local solutions that endure and inspire the world.

Our Journey So Far

Seed of an Idea
Sparked by 25+ years of local development experience, we recognized the urgent need for a multiplier-focusedfund—one that invests in local brilliance under extreme constraints.
First Pilots

We tested the Falafel Theory approach through small grants for youth-led coding programs, women’s micro-loans, and solar micro-grids, quickly seeing big returns on minimal resources.

Virtual Accelerator Launch

In response to diverse applicant needs and limited mobility, we created our online capacity-building platform, welcoming innovators from across Palestine.

Scaling & Partnerships

Today, our network spans diaspora funders, local NGOs, universities, and private companies—all rallying behind the “achieve more, with less, for more” philosophy.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow, we aim to expand into new sectors, replicate successes in underserved communities, and amplify stories of Palestinian ingenuity for a global audience.
